Personal Information Protection and Privacy Collection Notice
Thank you for expressing your interest in employment with the Z Group. This Personal Information Protection and Privacy Collection Notice (Notice) is to confirm your consent to the collection and use of personal information by the Z Group for the purpose of providing on-hire services to its clients and administering your employment arrangements.
Please read the Notice carefully, as a condition of signing up to the Z Group’s platform for the placement of individuals on on-hire assignment to work in the businesses of the Z Group’s clients (App).
This Notice applies during employment, as well as in respect of recruitment processes prior to any shifts being accepted or worked. This Notice should be read in conjunction with the Z Group’s Privacy Policy.
1. What types of personal information will the Z Group collect, use and/or store?
Personal information, in the context of your employment or engagement with a Z Group Company, includes:
- The details you provide directly or indirectly to us during any application process (when you upload your profile to the App), on commencement of employment and throughout your employment. This may include any additional details provided by your referees, and anything recorded during or after any interview process.
- Sensitive information, including information obtained during background checks or any voluntarily disclosed personal medical information .
Examples of personal information, including sensitive information, which we may collect, use and/or store include:
- Name/address/telephone number/personal email address
- Next of kin name and mobile numbers (i.e. your emergency contact details)
- Age and/or date of birth
- Passport
- Information from a CV/resume
- Statement of Service
- Drivers Licence
- Qualifications
- Visa details
- National Police Criminal Record Check details
- Certifications and Working with Children Check documentation
- Super fund details
- Tax file number
- Banking details
- Credit card details
- Data provided through the App’s time and attendance system
- WorkCover or other insurance claim details, including information regarding any injury
2. Why do we need this information, and how will we use it?
The personal information collected by the Z Group is required to ensure we are able to administer your employment arrangements and comply with client requirements, including in respect of clients assessing each employee’s qualifications for a shift. If you choose not to provide your personal information, it will not be possible to upload your profile in the App, including because we need this information to comply with client and regulatory requirements.
In addition, and specifically, such personal information may be used:
- To determine and process your pay and other entitlements and manage workplace safety risks.
- To fulfil and monitor other legislative requirements, including in respect of working rights, qualifications, licences and certificates as well as reporting requirements at law (including obligations to report to the relevant Department).
- To correspond with you and provide you with access to the App and any updates.
3. Who will the Z Group share my personal information with?
The Z Group may share personal information with third parties, for the purposes outlined above, including the following:
- Clients, through each Nurse’s profile on the App, for the purpose of contract/shift rostering and the client or Z Group meeting regulatory requirements.
- Your nominated financial institution (bank) for payment of wages and administering payroll.
- Your nominated superannuation fund/the default superannuation fund.
- Government agencies or departments, such as relevant regulatory bodies, health and hospital services, the Australian Taxation Office, and/or enforcement agencies and/or courts.
- Z Group entities within Australia.
- Insurers, or medical or occupational practitioners (as applicable).
- Potential purchasers on sale of business.
- Contracted service providers which the Z Group uses to perform services, or conduct reviews, on its behalf (such as recruiters, IT service providers, lawyers, marketing or PR agencies or financial/other professional advisors).
- In the event of an emergency, police, medical or hospital personnel, civil emergency services, your legal representative or nominated emergency contact person, or other persons assessed as necessary to respond to the emergency.
4. How can I access my personal information, and who can I contact if I have any questions?
You can ask for access to information the Z Group holds about you and ask for that information to be corrected. To do this, or if you have any complaint or concern about handling of your information, please contact the Z Group’s Privacy Officer by emailing admin@zstaffing.com.au.
