What qualifications do students need to work with Z Staffing?

To work with Z Staffing, graduates must meet specific criteria for our casual role. Please note that students who meet these requirements become employees of Z Staffing. While we provide valuable career opportunities, we do not guarantee employment or fixed hours.

Childcare Qualification

Applicants must either hold or actively be working toward a Childcare Qualification, such as Certificate 3, Diploma, ECT, or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

Applicants must have at least 25 hours of experience or completed work placements in an Australian early childhood service-based centre.

Sector Knowledge

Applicants should possess good sector knowledge, including an understanding of ratios and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

Working with Children Check

A Working with Children Check is essential to ensure the safety and well-being of the children we serve.

Age

Applicants must be over 18 years old.

Right to Work in Australia

All applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.

First Aid Certificate

Possession of a valid First Aid Certificate is required.

Counting Placement Hours

Students can count their Z Staffing hours towards their placement requirements, subject to the condition that the experiences we offer align with your RTO's compliance requirements. It's important to note that when students work with us, their primary role is to perform a job, and we don't engage childcare centres to assess or individually sign off on work or workbooks. However, upon request, we can provide a transcript on our letterhead, detailing the childcare centres where they've worked and the hours they've accrued.

While we make every effort to meet the compliance standards of various RTOs, we understand that each institution may have unique requirements. Regardless, Z Staffing remains a valuable option for students who wish to gain paid work and experience alongside their studies.
