Phase 1 — Screening & induction

 

  • Face-to-face interview with knowledge testing across child protection, ratios, interaction with children, EYLF and mandatory reporting
  • Independent document verification — qualifications, WWCCs, transcripts, visas
  • Mandatory induction with 100% quiz accuracy required to proceed
  • Two references required from most recent line managers, cross-checked post-induction

 

 

Phase 2 — Ongoing development & engagement

 

  • Professional development library covering trauma-aware practice, indigenous perspectives, STEM, nature play and behaviour regulation — in partnership with YMCA Vic
  • Monthly newsletter with regulatory updates and practical learning outcomes educators can apply on shift
  • Monthly webinars covering crucial topics to promote professional development (such as supporting children with additional needs in a casual setting)

 

 

Phase 3 — Accountability & trust

 

  • Star rating: Educator ratings provided by other Centres, visible directly to you; reliability ratings: to ensure you can rely on our educators when you need them most
  • Every concern raises a ticket — both parties are heard and outcomes documented transparently
  • Up to three coaching conversations before any offboarding decision, with mandatory refresher sessions as a pathway back

 

Most agencies ask you to take their word for it. With Z, you don't have to.
